COOKIE POLICY

Hardly any cookies, and no ad tracking.

This page explains what Huddle Kit stores on your device today, and what we will do before that changes.

Last updated 17 October 2026

No cookies on this site

This website sets no cookies. It counts visits and measures page speed with privacy-friendly tools, and has no advertising or cross-site tracking.

One saved preference

If you pick light or dark mode, your browser remembers that choice. It never leaves your device.

A sign-in cookie on the platform

Logging in to the Huddle Kit platform uses a cookie that keeps you signed in. It is needed for the service to work.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of information that a website asks your browser to store. Browsers can also keep settings in other "browser storage". Under the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), websites generally need your consent before storing anything that is not strictly necessary, unless a specific exception applies.

What we store today

theme

Browser storage on this website (not a cookie)

Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode, so the site looks the way you left it.

How long: Until you clear your browser data

huddlekit.session_token

Cookie on the platform (strictly necessary)

Keeps you signed in to the Huddle Kit platform and protects your account. Only set when you log in.

How long: Up to 7 days, or until you log out

Both of these are needed to give you something you asked for: a login you can use, and the display setting you picked. Neither is used to track you, so neither needs a consent banner. When a club pays for its subscription, payment is taken on Stripe's own page, which sets its own cookies under Stripe's cookie policy.

What we do not use

  • Advertising, remarketing or cross-site tracking
  • Analytics tools that use cookies or follow you across other websites
  • Social media buttons or embedded videos and maps
  • Other third-party scripts. The fonts on this website are served from our own address.

How we count visits and measure speed

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count how many people visit the website and which pages they look at. It does not use cookies or store anything on your device, and it does not follow you across other websites. It records things like the page visited, where you came from, your country, and your browser and device type, without storing your IP address. This tells us which pages are useful, nothing more. We also use Vercel Speed Insights to measure how quickly pages load for real visitors, so we can fix slow ones. It works in the same way: no cookies and no tracking across websites, just timing measurements together with the page, country, and browser and device type. You can find out more in Vercel's privacy notes.

Your choices

You can view and delete cookies and site data in your browser's settings at any time. Clearing the display preference just resets the site to your device's light or dark setting. Blocking the sign-in cookie means you will not be able to log in to the platform.

If this changes

We may add other tools in future, such as analytics that use cookies. Before any cookie-based or other non-essential tool is turned on, we will add a cookie banner that asks for your consent first (or, where the law allows, gives you a simple way to object), and we will update this page to list what each one does and for how long.
