Getting Started
An introduction to Huddle Kit and how We're building the platform.
What is Huddle Kit?
Huddle Kit is a football club management platform being developed for UK grassroots football. Our goal is to bring club administration, teams, coaches, families, websites, events and payments into one connected experience.
Who is Huddle Kit for?
Huddle Kit is designed for grassroots football clubs, including club secretaries, committee members, coaches, team managers, parents and guardians. We also have plans to expand the platform to football leagues.
Is Huddle Kit available now?
Huddle Kit is currently being developed. Features will become available progressively as they are implemented and tested. We will communicate what is available before asking clubs to rely on individual features.
How does a football club join?
Our intended onboarding process allows an authorised club representative to create a club account, set up the organisation and invite the appropriate people. The exact registration and onboarding experience will be confirmed as the platform develops.
Do coaches and parents create their own clubs?
No. Coaches, parents and guardians are intended to join the football club they belong to through the appropriate invitation or membership process. Club setup is intended for authorised club representatives.
Will Huddle Kit work on mobile devices?
We're designing the web experience to work across different screen sizes. Dedicated mobile app features and their availability will be confirmed as development progresses.
Frequently asked questions
Clubs & Teams
Managing football clubs, teams, coaches and club activities.
Can we manage multiple teams?
Yes. Supporting multiple teams within a single football club is part of the initial product design. Teams may represent different age groups and different categories of football.
Can we have junior, men's and women's teams?
Huddle Kit is being designed for clubs with junior, youth and adult football teams, including men's and women's football.
Can one coach manage more than one team?
We're designing team membership and coaching roles to support people with responsibilities across multiple teams, subject to the club's permissions.
Can committee members manage the whole club?
Our intended permissions model provides appropriate oversight for authorised club administrators and committee members, while limiting access for people with more specific roles.
Will our club have its own website?
A club website builder is part of our development plans. We want clubs to have a public online home connected to their club management experience, without requiring coding knowledge.
Can we organise club events?
Club events are part of the initial platform direction. We're planning support for activities such as presentation evenings, fundraising and other community events.
Frequently asked questions
Coaches, Parents & Players
How the people involved in a football club stay connected.
Can coaches manage training sessions?
Training management is part of our initial product plans. We intend to help coaches organise sessions, including dates, times, locations and relevant team information.
Can parents manage their children's profiles?
Yes, that's a core part of our planned family experience. Parents and guardians will be able to manage linked child player profiles through their own accounts.
Can I manage more than one child?
Supporting multiple child profiles under one parent or guardian account is included in our planned family management experience.
Will children need independent accounts?
Younger players, including children under 13, are intended to have parent- or guardian-managed profiles rather than being required to maintain their own accounts. Other age-appropriate account options will be considered separately.
Will parents be able to see fixtures?
Our planned family experience will provide relevant information about the teams their children play for, including training and upcoming fixtures.
Can parents confirm player availability?
Player availability is planned for a future release. The intended experience will allow parents or players, as appropriate, to respond to requests for matches and training sessions.
Will coaches be able to message parents?
Team messaging is planned for a later release. Appropriate communication permissions, safeguarding measures and reporting processes will need to be considered and implemented before launch.
Frequently asked questions
Platform Features
Websites, training, fixtures, events and planned club tools.
What features are included in Huddle Kit?
Our initial product direction includes club management, teams, coaching roles, player and parent relationships, club websites, training sessions and fixtures. Online payments are planned, while messaging and player availability are intended for later releases.
Can clubs create their own website?
Yes, a club website builder is part of the platform We're developing. The final editing, publishing, branding and domain options will be confirmed before release.
Will fixtures and training appear in one calendar?
We're planning a connected experience for team training, fixtures and club events. The exact calendar views and availability will depend on the features delivered.
Will fixture changes notify everyone?
Fixture notifications are planned for future development. Our longer-term goal is to make relevant schedule changes easier for connected clubs, coaches and families to find.
Will Huddle Kit have a mobile app?
A mobile experience is part of our wider product direction, but dedicated mobile app functionality and release dates have not been confirmed.
Frequently asked questions
Pricing & Payments
Subscriptions, player fees, Stripe Connect and payment costs.
How much does Huddle Kit cost?
Final prices haven't been announced. We're working towards one straightforward subscription for each football club, with clear billing terms published before paid subscriptions launch.
Will we pay separately for each team?
Our intended model is a club-level subscription rather than charging separately for each team. Final limits and conditions will be confirmed with the published pricing.
Will there be a free trial?
A free trial or introductory offer has not yet been confirmed. Any such arrangement will be clearly explained before launch.
Do parents need a paid Huddle Kit subscription?
Our intended pricing model has the football club paying for the software. Parents are not expected to require separate Huddle Kit software subscriptions, although clubs may charge their own player and membership fees.
Can clubs collect player subscriptions?
We're planning online player subscriptions and club fees through a separate Stripe Connect integration. Recurring payment options and their availability will be confirmed during development.
Does club payment money go to Huddle Kit?
Club subscription billing and club fee collection are separate systems. The planned Stripe Connect integration uses accounts connected by clubs to process their payments. Final payment routing, payout arrangements and applicable fees will be explained before launch.
Are there payment processing fees?
Stripe processing fees may apply, alongside any additional Huddle Kit platform payment fees if introduced. Final charges haven't been confirmed and will be disclosed before clubs begin collecting payments.
Can we collect sponsorship payments?
Sponsorship payments are part of our longer-term product plans. The precise capabilities and release schedule have not yet been confirmed.
Frequently asked questions
Safeguarding & Privacy
children's information, access permissions and safeguarding responsibilities.
How is children's information protected?
Huddle Kit is being designed around parent-managed profiles, role-based access and appropriate separation of private and public information. Specific technical and organisational safeguards must be implemented and verified before the relevant features launch.
Can coaches access every child's information?
That is not the intended design. Access should depend on the person's club membership, assigned responsibilities and appropriate permissions.
Will player profiles be publicly visible?
Our intention is to separate private player records from public club website content. Specific publishing permissions and controls will be defined and tested during development.
Can clubs upload photographs of children?
Media publishing and consent workflows haven't been finalised. Any future support will need appropriate permissions, club processes and privacy safeguards.
Does Huddle Kit replace safeguarding officers?
No. Huddle Kit is a software platform and cannot replace a club's safeguarding policies, Club Welfare Officer, training or responsibilities for responding to concerns.
How do I report a safeguarding concern?
Contact your Club Welfare Officer, County FA safeguarding officer or The FA through an appropriate safeguarding channel. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999. Huddle Kit's general contact form is not a safeguarding reporting service.
